Expert Guidance at Each Stage
At the early stages we can advise on the simplest, most economical route to compliance. If you already have a design, we can tell you if it is NZEB compliant or not. If it isn’t, we can make recommendations to make it compliant.

Design
Energy efficiency does not have to impinge on your design.  In fact, we believe it shouldn’t even be noticeable. By optimising the discrete items such as insulation and thermal bridging we can minimise the amount of services required such as ventilation ducting, or remove the need for bolt-on technologies like solar panels.

Value Added
Depending on your preference, we can strip the building specification down to the minimum required for NZEB compliance or we can work to achieve the best energy rating possible. We can compare and contrast multiple design combinations to arrive at the optimal solution for your project. On a residential refurbishment project we can help your client claim thousands of euro worth of grants to go towards the work.

Experienced
We know Part L and the NEAP and DEAP software inside out so that you don’t have to. Since 2012 we have been carrying out these calculations on a daily basis. We fully understand the small changes that make a big difference.  For example, we can tell you if a higher level of insulation could remove the need (and cost) for triple glazing.

Multi-Disciplinary Team
Our team members are from both architectural and engineering backgrounds which means that we can help you with the building services specifications as well as the fabric. We liaise with the various design professionals, contractors and product suppliers to ensure that all the parameters interact to deliver a compliant building.

Summary Report
When the designs and specifications are completed, we will confirm they are Part L compliant. Our detailed report concisely summarises the BER and NZEB results and clearly defines the specification. As long as the contractors do not deviate from this, the completed building will comply.

Support throughout the project
If you need to make any changes during the build, for example swapping one insulation product out for another or if the engineers suggest a change, such as an alternative heat pump, just let us know. We will update the calculations to check whether everything still complies.
